2017

Sand Bay Hemsby March Mill Rythe

One of my earliest memories is standing on a stage singing “Bye, Bye Blues” with my Dad’s Band. I was about 4 years old at the time.  Music has always played a large part in my life, and that of my Husband. It shall continue to do so, we hope, for a long time to come.

During the year 2014 I will reach, hopefully, the great age of 70 years. Where has all that time gone? How to celebrate? Whether to celebrate? Nothing that me or him came up with seemed "suitable".

In January we made our third annual visit to the Sand Bay Winter Jazz Festival. Before leaving we re-booked for 2015, then we thought we could go to the Hemsby Festival in March, and....well. An idea gradually grew.

Soon we were planning a journey via jazz festivals over the year, and then that throw away remark.

"I'll write about it"  Me.

"No you can't" Him

"Can" Me

"Go on then, prove it" Him

"Alright, I will, but you've got to film it" Me

"OK" Him

Oops, I've gone and done it now, No going back.

What better way to celebrate 70 years.  We just hope that we are able to master

the digital technology required and don't expect too much jazzology or jazzecdotes.

You are cordially invited to follow me, him and Harvey the Duck on our adventure.
